Whether it’s the tender buttered chicken that seems to melt in your mouth or the flavorful warmth of a seafood kare-kare, each dish is prepared with an evident kindness — made to be savored slowly, often while sharing bites across the table. The menu also offers small surprises, like a fresh mango pandan salad or a rich corn soup, that keep the experience feeling personal and homegrown.
Staff at Gerarda’s Place bring a sense of ease to the experience, attentive but without intrusion. They seem to understand the value of letting moments unfold naturally, sometimes sharing recommendations or lightening the mood with small, lively dances that feel spontaneous rather than rehearsed.

Everything seemed alright except for the very noisy environment. There was a family celebration happening in the other tables and they were very noisy. I understand it was not the restaurant's fault but their music added to the noise pollution. Air conditioning was great, it was super hot outside and it felt good to be freshened up inside. Food was good except that I had high expectations with their kinilaw but it didn't have coconut milk in it. Serving was fast though, I believe it didn't take 10 minutes. Ambiance wise, its very homey with the dark painted furniture and the vintage miniature vehicle displays at the sides. Staffs were very active and accommodating but they had a tendency of not smiling back. Overall, I was satisfied but they can perhaps improve with that.

Honestly, i didn’t expect the ambiance that is so better. Its cozy and affluent, but the food is affordable and delicious. Almost all tables are set for big group such as for family and friends. Staff are courteous and able. Highly recommended restaurant when you are in Bohol. Cash & card are accepted.

Not too bad! We were quite impressed with the service and friendlyness. Price a little higher but makes sense with the portions and quality of food! Food wise: Seafood Kare-Kare - peanut soup, a little too strong for us as a soup, but generous portions and works well with rice! Buttered Chicken - tender fried chicken, one of our favourite dishes so far! Agobo Rice - delicious! Not too heavy or salty but a very good flavoured rice Halo-halo - a lot more fresh fruits compared to others we have seen! Really love it.

It’s truly a family restaurant because the food is intended for sharing. But since I traveled alone, I ordered only one dish which was Dinakdakan. First, I thought it would taste weird but turned out it was nice and tasty. It’s recommended by the staff when I asked. So no regret at all. And when the music plays, staffs start dancing to entertain the customers.
